Comstar rose out of the rubble of the Star League in the wake of Kerensky's exodus and secured Terra for the organization. Their overt purpose was to manage the vast HPG network after the Great Houses lost the ability to maintain the technology.
ComStar's influence fell into sharp decline after losing Terra to the Word of Blake, then seeing the bulk of their army destroyed during the Jihad. The remainder was integrated into the Republic of the Sphere's armed forces or decommissioned.
After Gray Monday, ComStar lost its main source of revenue. An attempted military revival was crushed in 3141 and the Blessed Order has effectively ceased to exist as a military faction.
